Biography

Lorris
Sevhonkian
was born in 1959 in Paris. This swiss pianist of armenian origin
studied
at the Fribourg Academy of music, in the class of Mrs. Céline
Volet where he obtained the Virtuosity Diploma. Consequentially, he
improved his knowledge of musical analysis under Mr. Louis-Marc Suter
at the Lausanne Academy of music. He studied six years in the class of
Mrs. Monique Deschaussées in Paris, direct heiress of Alfred
Cortot and Edwin Fisher. He also had the privilege to work with Mrs.
Esther Yellin, former student of Heinrich Neuhaus.
Beside his concerto activity, he teaches at the music academies of
Morges and Montreux (Switzerland).
